Connected thermostats
By integrating connected thermostats into your property management workflow, you gain precise control over heating and cooling systems—either on-site or remotely. Using thermostats such as the Honeywell Home T6R, Honeywell Home evohome, or Honeywell Home DT4, which pair seamlessly with our sfty Control management dashboard enables timely, remote diagnostics and actionable insights, helping make informed decisions.
"Being able to remotely change settings is HUGE for us, we always want to monitor and fix things without coming into the units. It feels weird for residents to see us pressing buttons on their thermostat."
Andrew R. Hoover, Managing Member, The Coda on Crouse, USA

Why connected control matters
Manage vacant properties with confidence
Connected thermostats offer automated alerts to notify building managers if temperatures fall outside preferred ranges, allowing for timely action. With remote access through the sfty Control dashboard, users can monitor conditions without the need for onsite inspections.

Management dashboard reporting
Devices connected to the sfty Control platform, enabling the property manager to remotely monitor and adjust temperatures—whether for individual living spaces or grouped units. The platform provided a centralised reporting view showing device status and performance, enables remote access for heating adjustments, automated alerts with escalation protocols.

Beyond energy savings
Smart temperature control goes beyond energy savings—it can enhance resident satisfaction by maintaining ideal indoor conditions before move-ins, promoting comfort from day one. With sfty devices detecting temperature shifts that may indicate heating issues, property managers can make proactive adjustments to support resident comfort. Remote access reduces the need for technician visits, enabling faster response times and more reliable service.

Benefits for residents
- Comfort-by-default: Ideal indoor temperature conditions before move-ins.
- Safety-first: sfty devices can detect temperature shifts that may signal heating issues, prompting proactive adjustments.
- Reliable engagement: Remote access means fewer technician visits and faster response—residents value quick fixes.
Benefits for property managers
-
Energy savings: Fine-tune usage while enforcing baseline climate protection in unoccupied units.
-
Time efficiency: Eliminate routine in-person checks—manage everything digitally.
-
Cost reductions: Lower utility bills, fewer remedial visits and decreased property damage potential.
-
Accountability & evidence: Historical data logs support transparency in maintenance decisions or dispute resolution.
Why companies around the world prefer sfty for expanding their team globally.

"Thanks for phoning me a short time ago. It was extremely gratifying to know that our managing agent was informed of the leak, as well as the very loud alarm that sounded here in the house. I would not have seen the leak had the alarm not sounded and though it seems modest at the moment it could have gone on for days getting increasingly worse without me knowing. I’m impressed."

From our first hello to final installation, we are with you every step of the way
Get in touch
Send us an e-mail or call us. We can arrange a date and time to discuss your project in more detail.
Site inspection
After a scoping call, we usually arrange a no obligation on-site inspection. We’ll review your existing systems, infrastructure and pain points, and get to know the building and your needs.
Proposal
After the site inspection we will prepare a detailed proposal and pricing. We can present this in person to a wider management team or your residents if required.
Installation
Our discrete, wireless devices are quick to install. Depending on the required number of devices, local facilities and local regulations, typical installations take no longer than 15-20 mins per apartment.
Requirements
The sfty platform is designed to primarily use the building's or residents' personal 2.4 GHz WiFi access points and internet connection to report device status and relevant alerts. Continuous access to such WiFi access points and internet connection must be given in order for the sfty platform to work as intended. The sfty Sense (smoke detection) devices (but not the water leak devices or water shut off valves) create a mesh network between them to add network resilience but several connections to the internet are required in order for the system to work as intended. A separate internet-backhaul connection can be provided but is invoiced separately.
Receipt of alarms and alerts is dependent on third party network communications infrastructure and user preferences, amongst other things. Certain sfty features, such as sending SMS, are invoiced based on usage.
Sfty collaborates with third party alarm monitoring stations to receive and action smoke alarms. These services are subject to a separate contract between the building manager and the alarm monitoring station.
Sfty collaborates with third parties where the installation of smoke detectors or electrical equipment is specifically regulated by local law. Sfty does not draw up or sign off on building fire safety plans or any changes to them.
No system guarantees the prevention or detection of all fires or water leaks or associated damage and losses. Building safety is complex, encompassing factors like compliance with building, water and fire regulations as well as proper configuration and maintenance of all alarm and detection devices. The sfty platform is only one such component and its effectiveness depends on its proper configuration, suitable placement of sfty-compatible devices, appropriate coverage of the building with sfty-compatible devices, regular maintenance (including batteries, mains connections and plumbing of the shut-off valve, if installed), reliability of internet connectivity and adherence to sfty's instructions and operating manuals. All connected features of the sfty Sense, water leak detection device and water shut off valves can terminate if your contract with sfty for the sfty platform terminates.
Other technical and compatibility requirements as well as sfty's standard terms and conditions apply.
